Making more time to paint has been my goal the past year, as well as painting pieces that I want to create. Sometimes it’s from a dream, a feeling I am having and other times it’s from a special place, whether its plein air or remembering my favorite happy spot.
Having a background in illustration and design makes me aware of the importance of color, and pushes me to find those hues that sing together on a canvas, as well as supporting the feeling I am trying to create. I am heavily influenced by nature and my surroundings, as well as my current emotional state. This past year has been a happy whirlwind for me, so more illustrative lighthearted creatures from a different world became my main focus. The energy of brushstrokes and textures come alive before my eyes and brings joy to me and hopefully inspires other artists to do what they love.
She now also has a studio at the Brush Gallery and Studios in Lowell, MA where you can view her artwork most days of the week and purchase what is on display.
